Little Daffodils Pre-School is the step towards meeting the expectations of parents for a nurturing environment for their little ones.

It was with this goal in mind that Mrs. Pavithra Wilking, started Little Daffodils in 2010 for Pre-Nursery and Nursery programme. Having a masters degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and being a qualified professional counselor, she has an in-depth knowledge about the little ones, so their grooming and academic journey that cannot but succeed to inculcate in them the social, cognitive, physical, intellectual and emotional development that is so vital to their future. In order to achieve this goal, a diverse plan is carefully devised for each day so the over all development of the child is ensured through various activities.

With 40 years of Experience in this Industry, Little Daffodils is a space created exclusively for our Little Ones, a dream of fun and learning blended beautifully

We have been educating children for over five years. Our goal is to create a place that engages each child.

  • Family and Friends

The child is made to feel as secure in school as with his/her family. The relationship with each family member is explained and they are taught to love animals as they are a part of the family. The importance of making friends is also made to understand which facilitates social development.

    Unique and Diversity

Teaches a child that he is unique as a person, his likes and dislikes (tastes) are his own and its all right to be different. Another goal is to tell them the world is full of different kinds of things and people and they should appreciate those differences and respect them. We also introduce them to various tastes and textures & emotions. The importance here is given to feelings.

They are introduced to the seasons and how one feels in each season: warm or cold and how to cope with the time of the year; also differences between day and night are explained.

The child is taught to be independent in all every-day tasks, such as Brushing Teeth, Washing Hands, Tying shoe Laces and so on by actually making him/her do these himself/herself, with little help which make the little ones independent, self reliant and proud of themselves.

    One / Winning

It is emphasized that each child is a winner in his/her own right, that each of them is good at something worthwhile and should not feel inferior to another child ever; a healthy sense of competition is inculcated among them. Being the 1st and winning is not about suppressing others. Here the children are taught to be polite, to respect others needs and rights. Simple manners like to say sorry, thank you etc. are imbedded in the children.

The children are introduced to eating healthy foods by means of a chart and, in a contrasting chart, they are shown the types of food they should restrict/avoid. In other words, we teach them the right eating habits from the earliest. They are also taught good table manners like chewing with the mouth shut, not talking with food in the mouth and so on. The need for hygiene is also emphasized, for example, the importance of washing hands before a meal. The little ones are also made to understand the importance to drink only clean and fresh water.

    Self Confidence

A positive attitude to life is taught i.e. self belief is emphasized, so that they begin to believe that they can achieve any thing they set out to achieve.

    Child Safety

Little Daffodils Offers a Safe & Secure Environment for your Child to grow and learn with Fun.

There is a very well-stocked library with carefully selected children’s hard-bound books. They are both for learning the language and also story books, like fairy tales and the like. Also some books have an audio aid, called ‘Mr. Walter’. When a ‘pen’ like device is placed on a particular spot on a picture in the book, the device produces the sound and description of the subject matter, thus teaching the child what it is and how to pronounce the various words involved. This is a unique aid not found in many reputed schools. This is set aside for telling them stories, which they all love.

There is a complete CCTV coverage of the entire premises, including in each class room, play area, snack room, the entrance etc. The monitors are placed at our front office, this way the children’s entire activities can be checked on at all times. This also enables parents to come to the school, with prior appointment, sit in the front office and watch their child receive his/her education in the class room, without disturbing the class: a welcome step much appreciated by the parents.

    Cozy Corner

There is a ‘Cozy Corner’ attached to a class room where there is a fully made bed for children to rest if they feel tired or unwell. In case of the latter eventuality, there is a pediatrician on call at all times to attend to any emergency at short notice.

    Resource Room

There is a ‘Resource Room’ in the middle with all material in colourful shades that is required to stimulate a child’s imagination and which can be used for recreation or study.

    Spacious Lawn

There is a ‘Spacious Lawn’ for them to play on. It is equipped with all the usual play ground equipment such as swings and slides etc. Children, as mentioned earlier, gather here for the morning  assembly before classes begin.

    Snack Room

There is a ‘Spacious Lawn’ for them to play on. It is equipped with all the usual play ground equipment such as swings and slides etc. Children, as mentioned earlier, gather here for the morning  assembly before classes begin.

    Positive Parent's Programme

We have a Positive Parents Programme (PPP). At regular intervals parents are invited to come to the school to interact with class teachers about the progress made by their wards and to discuss if there is any inherent problem with their child that needs to be addressed. Needless to say, we help in having such problems resolved. We also take the opportunity of having an orientation programme with parents. They are encouraged to ensure that the all round standards set by the school are followed at home too, so that there is continuity in their learning process.

We have school vans to collect students from their homes and to drop them there after school. Each trip has a lady staff member present in the van. We also send a few changes of clothes in there and hand the soiled clothes in alplastic bag to the parent. We also keep diapers in the van and bottles of drinking water.

    Photo ID

Each student has a Photo ID card with the following information:

    Admission Number
    Emergency Phone Number.

    Development Card

We have a Development Card for each student that is filled in after each term and presented to the parent who can then assess how his/her ward has fared during the term.

There is an evaluation guide with a different coloured star denoting his/her prowess. The child’s conduct is also mentioned.

    Field Trip

We organize Field Trips to various places, for instance to building sites to show how a wall can be built from cement and bricks or to a restaurant’s kitchen to show them how a pizza is assembled and baked. These live demonstrations have proved to excite their interest in everyday things.
